I was contacted by a developer named Willian Cima, from the city of Esteio in Rio Grande do Sul. He has created a web service for hosting photos for people who want to organize their photos without using their own storage space, but still have the advantages of editing and sharing. “We could call it a cross between Photobucket and Twitpic,” said the entrepreneur.

I was at Campus Party when I ran into Millor Machado (who blogs at Saia do Lugar, along with Luiz Piovesana) and heard about his idea for this project. It was a blog that would centralize the posts of other blogs and sell advertising jointly across the participating blogs. He said ReadWriteWeb Brasil (run by Diego Gomes) was the other blog participating in the project, and and he invited Startupi to join. The Internet & American Life Project, from the Pew Research Center and the Imagining the Internet Center of Elon University, interviewed 800 recognized market experts to see what they thought the internet would be like in 2020.
