imagem21-300x272The bubble bursts: it’s a frightening expression. Not like “hyperactivity” or “nerd” which have acquired a positive (and era-defining) connotation. The bubble bursting: an act or effect of business and investment standards which cannot sustain itself. A lack of vision, performance, or prospects?

The world has experienced several crises, such as the first Internet bubble in 2001.  Credit for that went to novelty and expectations, which weren’t moving in step with reality’s comportment nor with business practices. It wasn’t the first localized crisis to have world wide effects, nor the first to be overcome slowly.

This year, when Barack Obama assumed the presidency of the United States, he said hope for the country to overcome the crisis lay with small, innovative businesses. What luck, then, that in Brazil as well as overseas, incentives for digital culture and entrepreneurism are in vogue, expressed in so many kinds of events. Read more…
