Tuesday was the first day of the four-day long YouPix event, and the Best of the Web finalists were announced. 200 people involved in the Brazilian internet did the voting, and narrowed all the submissions down to a list of five finalists in each of 18 categories, ranging from serious to silly. Young Marcos Roberto Martins of Brasília, DF, won the grand prize at the first “Foro de Proyectos América Latina,” during Campus Party Europe.
He presented his iTV Project: a tool for creating, testing and distributing apps for digital television.

Remember Netweaving for Innovation’s trip in which TeiaMG representative Juliana Lima went to Silicon Valley? One of the fruits of this trip came from a conversation she had with the decision makers at Ning.com (a tool for social networks that supports OpenSocial).
