A few days ago I met with two enthusiastic young entrepreneurs. Non-hierarchical patterns of relationships, distributed flow: these are the things I thought about when I saw the title of the book Olhares da Rede (Perspectives on the Net), written by students from the Cásper Líbero College. It revolves around a discussion between five international authors who develop their opinions on the themes, and it can be downloaded for free!
The other electronic book that awakened my interest is CulturaDigital.Br, written by members of the CulturaDigital community, which was created by the federal government to stimulate discussion and collaboration around the use of the Internet by everyday people in everyday life. Read more…

Sonico (”the social network that organizes people’s online life”) will open its first office outside Argentina in the second half of November.
The location they selected is São Paulo, and the Country Manager for Brazil will be Alexander de Freitas. The company announced improvements for the Brazilian version that will be released.
With over 20 years industry experience, Alexandre established his definitive links with the Internet 12 years ago. Since 2006 he has been CEO of HowStuffWorks Brazil, a Portuguese version of the North American site of the same name, which belongs to Discovery Communications (learn more). Read more…

Migux is a Brazilian social network created for children in the style of a MMOSG (Massively Multi-user Online Social Game). The Migux, which are the playful avatars of the game, live in an aquatic world with different social and educational areas. The Migux move in a world created in Flash, where they can chat, collect objects, play games, maintain a personal page (in the form of a little house) and create and share content such as pictures. The idea is to offer a social network for lovers of cinema, in which users send and receive suggestions for films to see based on their profile. Other paid services are also aggregated in CineDica.
