More state finalists are being announced for the 2010 Desafio Brasil startup competition. We already mentioned the finalists from Pernambuco and Bahia, as well as Minas Gerais. Here are the finalists from Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

FGV is once again offering the Latin American component (in its third edition) of I2P, Idea to Product.
The competition seeks to recognize entrepreneurs in the earliest stages of their projects. Latin American finalists will go to Austin, Texas, USA for the finals. Read more…

Here’s a good tip from reader Ana Fontes (ElogieAki) via Twitter. FGV-EAESP, IE Business School and Goldman Sachs are organizing round three of the “10,000 Women” project in Brazil.
The idea is to develop the entrepreneurial spirit and management skills for women who already have a business of their own up and running.
Applications are being taken until July 20th. Candidates will be evaluated via interviews. There will be 200 class hours in São Paulo during August. For more info, see here. Read more…

The Prêmio Empreendedor de Sucesso is in its fourth year, in partnership with the magazine Pequenas Empresas & Grandes Negócios (Small Companies, Big Business) and the New Business section of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGVCenn), with additional sponsorship from Visa.
