Startupi has just become an official media partner of the Brazil Means Business event, which is taking place March 29th in Amsterdam. It’s focused on discussions of the economic opportunities in Brazil and intends to bring together business people and investors for networking and negotiations.

Those who use the Internet are familiar with Flash, used to create rich media experiences in various sites, games, social apps, smartphones and touchscreen devices. Brazil has one of the largest communities of developers and experts for this product from Adobe (originally from MacroMedia). In fact, a Brazilian developer went to work for rich media shop EFM in San Diego, became the Interactive Director, and is now bringing an event to Brazil to further encourage adoption of the platform.
“The objective of Flash Camp Brazil is to showcase Adobe’s platform, which consists of Flash, Flex and AIR. There are a number of companies in Brazil developing great solutions; they will be attending the event, speaking along with international experts, and interacting with the audience.” Read more…

There was a time when we had to depend on the mass media for coverage of events we couldn’t attend. Today the coverage is interactive and collaborative: participants comment live on the internet (Olivia Mitchell has published an interesting ebook about the use of backchannels like Twitter).
Some events, like Intercon, offer platforms to map, encourage and add value to content that the public shares, even calling on the public to write articles for an official collaborative book about the event. Others, like TEDxSP also have real-time coverage via Twitter. Read more…
