What no one has seen yet are the photos I took and the videos of statements by entrepreneurs - done as if pitching their business to investors - a project which we’ve dubbed Startupitch. Read more…

Highlights of the 4th day of CP Labs; Startupi and ResultsON Podcast

Alexandre Fugita on January 23, 2009

The schedule for CP Labs is extensive and because of this it is difficult to post about every discussion. The solution is the podcast which I am recording in conjunction with Rafael Bucco from ResultsON. Later I will post reviews of the most interesting projects featured at CP Labs.

This time we talk about Wtrip, the Informeme, FeelBR, Flirtprints, It’s Real, ZRV and Casa Inteligente. In addition some commentary about the “PL do Azeredo”, an “un-conference” about startups and how to get your startup going.

Trying out Pagseguro at Campus Party (or, RedBull for R$1,00)

Alexandre Fugita on January 21, 2009

pagseguro-redbullPagseguro, the micropayment system from UOL (*), is doing a test-drive for those who wish to understand how the system functions. Every day, from 6pm to midnight, a promoter from Pagseguro will sell RedBull for R$1,00. The link to buy it is:pagseguro.com.br/cparty

The value is symbolic and a way of encouraging people to register for Pagseguro and begin to use it. Yesterday evening I tried it out and it was super easy (see photo).

Those who wish to try the tool and buy a very cheap RedBull just have to find a promoter with a Pagseguro t-shirt and ask for the instructions. Today I saw them carrying green balloons to call attention to themselves
