I was at Campus Party when I ran into Millor Machado (who blogs at Saia do Lugar, along with Luiz Piovesana) and heard about his idea for this project. It was a blog that would centralize the posts of other blogs and sell advertising jointly across the participating blogs. He said ReadWriteWeb Brasil (run by Diego Gomes) was the other blog participating in the project, and and he invited Startupi to join. This week saw the launch of a startup that provides ad campaigns for Twitter for users who want to monetize their Twitter streams.
It’s a concept that’s more narrowly focused than that of boo-box, for example, and more formal than the idea of the often disliked “paid Tweet.” The power of TwittePaga is in its simple and efficient technology for registering participants and tracking the performance of the links. Read more…

Remember TweetMeme? It is a webservice that blends search for links in tweets (Twitter posts), metrics, and a widget to add to sites and blogs. Great for facilitating and following the socialization of links. In fact, we’ve added it to the English version of Startupi. Very good, but it doesn’t map content in Portuguese.
If you install the TweetMeme button on your Portuguese blog and people click on it to retweet the title and link of the post, the system just marks it at zero, as if nothing was retweeting. But to the joy of the (micro)blogosphere in Brazil, there is now BuzzVolume, which does all this specifically for Portuguese content! Read more…

Friday, Saturday and Sunday Kul Takanao Wadhwa, the head of business development of the Wikimedia Foundation, was in Brazil to talk to local entrepreneurs interested in developing commercial solutions that help extend the reach of, participation in and quality of Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia Foundation projects.
