Startupi seeking businesses to participate in consortium, compete for FINEP funding

Startupi has brought together a group of advisors (lawyers, accountants, engineers, administrators) who are interested in supporting tech businesses in creating projects to compete for the SELEÇÃO PÚBLICA MCT/FINEP/FNDCT - Subvenção Econômica à Inovação – 01/2010, a FINEP fund designed to support economic innovation. The fund is designed to support Brazilian business via non-reimbursable grants, with a focus on product development, innovative processes and services, and development in areas considered strategic at the federal level.

We are seeking businesses who want to participate in a consortium. Our team’s role will be that of consultants, assisting in the process of documentation and organization required at all steps of the project, through execution. Read more…

A while back I had the opportunity to follow the presentation of engineer Alberto Duque Portugal.

Alberto was formerly director of the Agência de Inovação da Unicamp, president of Embrapa, and is now Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher Education for the State of Minas Gerais. In this role he helps stimulate institutional, educational, economic, technical and social development via initiatives integrated with the Sistema Mineiro de Inovação. Read more…
