About
Startupi is a blog focused on the world of Brazilian Internet software startups. Brazil has a dynamic and growing Internet software sector and Startupi’s main objective is to encourage the internet startup market in Brazil by making news and information available to entrepreneurs and potential investors. Startupi covers topics such as venture capital, acquisitions, product launches, conferences and other news of interest. Startupi is itself a startup and is funded by SocialSmart, a US-based venture fund focused on Latin America with emphasis on Brazil
Startupi is a play on the words “startup” and “Tupi,” one of the predominant indigenous groups in Brazil at the time of Portuguese settlement. Find out more about Startupi in this inaugural post.
