Ning challenges Brazilian developers

Remember Netweaving for Innovation’s trip in which TeiaMG representative Juliana Lima went to Silicon Valley? One of the fruits of this trip came from a conversation she had with the decision makers at Ning.com (a tool for social networks that supports OpenSocial).

Juliana told them about the trends in Brazil, and they decided to offer a Ning Developer Challenge in Brazil.Launched during Campus Party, the challenge will award US$9000 to the best applications in entrepreneurship, public management and the environment.

Soon after the announcement I spoke to another TeiaMG representative, Augusto Arantes, and with the manager responsible for TeiaMG within the state government of Minas Gerais, Héber Pereira Neves.

The director of partnerships in design and development from Ning, Kyle Ford, had this to say:
