Remember PS10, the competition for the best Latin American startup hosted by Pulso Social? Three Brazilians were among the finalists (Drimio, HelpSaúde and Navegg, which got second place). The winner was a Colombian startup called LetMeGo, which has announced a challenge to find a Brazilian partner.
LetMeGo has a global vision and offers a novel approach to the hotel industry online: the opportunity for travelers to present their itinerary and receive offers from hotels. It’s up and running in English and has investment from Torrenegra Labs. Now the startup is looking for a Brazilian partner to develop a Portuguese version of the system (as well as a partner to do a Spanish version).
Check out this video tour of the system, narrated by “Barack Obama:”

In the first phase of the competition LetMeGo will hire partners for six months, paying US$ 1,500 to each plus a marketing budget of US$ 1,000. There will be three partners chosen for the Spanish version and three for the Portuguese version, with a unique domain for each participant.
At the end of six months the site with the most users in each language will absorb the other two, winning the challenge. One will be chosen for the Portuguese version and one for the Spanish version.
The winning entrepreneurs will win:
- the role of CEO with their winning effort
- long term contracts with a salary of US$ 48,000 per year
- bonus of 20% equity with a five year vesting
Registration for the contest is open until the 10th of February, 2010. For more information take a look at http://challenge.letmego.com.
