The name is impressive, and so is this year’s program. Especially because the participants help create the lineup of speakers and help define what innovation is.
Inovatec, the 5th Festival of Technological Innovation: Connecting Business and Innovation, begins October 6th and continues until the 9th, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. This year the theme is Integration for innovation. Entry to the event is free!
According to the statement of the organization, it helps if you understand that innovation is not just a magical word that people toss around next to their brand, business, product or service. It is a coming together of culture, ability, structure and position.
There are four days full of companies and experts exchanging knowledge in various ways:
- Stands/Exhibitors;
- Courses, workshops and lectures (including Pro-Inova, from the Ministry of Sciece and Technology);
- ANPEI Day - case studies in innovation;
- The R&D program of Cemig-Aneel;
- The first Google Day on the net;
- IT Events: competitions, demonstrations of new technology, robotics, virtual reality;
- Related Events: The Fapemig Event: Franco-Brazilian Higher Education Week; CETEC: 1st meetup of young researchers; Incubators from SEBRAE; and a seminar about the degree in Energy Engineering, from PUC Minas.
Other activities will take place live at Inovatec, involving various tools and innovative concepts such as QR codes and augmented reality. All this providing collective learning, fun, innovation, and the integration of participants into the processes of Teia MG. This integration is designed to allow participants to be more actively involved, thus gaining an understanding of how they can solve various business problems with agility, quality and scalability.
Beyond just attending, participants can help:
- Give their definition of Innovation; definitions will appear on the homepage of the site;
Suggest speakers; - Open Innovation: learn step-by-step how to effectively integrate businesses with technical research institutions;
- Do a “quick and dirty” digital baptism of their clients;
- Augmented Reality and QR Code? The best way is to learn by doing;
- Register for free.
I was invited to give a lecture on the 8th. Keep an eye on the event, we’will keep you informed.
