Global Entrepreneurship Week breaks record with activities and participants in Brazil

Reproduced here is an email I received from Ludmilla Figueiredo, in charge of the Entrepreneurial Culture section of the Endeavor Institute, regarding Global Entrepreneurship Week. (Startupi was involved, with myself as official tweeter and in co-organizing an event.)
“Everything we built together will continue through the year. We are ready to plan the events for 2010. Thanks to you all, we mobilized 5,321,000 people! See the breakdown below.
It’s worth saying we did much better than all 78 nations that participated in 2008, which involved 3.06 million people! =)
Below are our stats, given in the format they use for the Rio Carnival stats. We have a lot to celebrate. Our goal for the Week this year was to get 1% of Brazil’s population involved - some 2 million people. Remember that we are in some uncertain times, what with the global financial crisis.
Midway through the process we upped our goal to 4 million people (2% of the population), and we exceeded even that, attracting 5,321,000 participants.
