Challenge Brazil 2009 unveils selected projects

business1A real business catalyst for investors and entrepreneurs in Latin America, Challenge Brazil is set for another edition of the annual competition for innovative new technology businesses. This year, more than 140 projects were submitted by entrepreneurs from eight Brazilian states. The step of verifying requirements has been completed, and the Challenge is off and running with 48 selected projects.

The projects - The 48 selected projects are competing for more than R$30 thousand in prizes and a chance to be among the 8 teams sent to Challenge Latin America; there’s also a chance to be among the two finalists sent to the international competition: IBTEC (Intel + UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge). The Challenge - Coordinated by the Center for Studies in Private Equity and Venture Capital, part of the Getulio Vargas Foundation of São Paulo (GVcepe) and supported by INTEL, Challenge Brazil brings together 400 members (entrepreneurs, investors, students) and their social network. Around this week, the organizers will divulge who has made it to Phase 2, in which there is mentoring and a semi-final round.
